A beautiful ride from Florence Oregon to Sisters.
We stopped at a road side park next to a lake just south of Florence, then rode the McKenzie Hwy, taking a break at Sahalie Falls before pulling into "The Goldy Ranch" where Micky's sister Colleen and her husband Michael live. A 140 acre Ranch!
We spent 4 days sightseeing, shooting,  relaxing and visiting with family and friends in the area.

First 1000 miles!

Well we completed our first 1000 miles of our 90 day trip! We made it to Bandon Oregon and have a great room overlooking Old Town, the bay, and the ocean. Our first day was to Malibu to visit Kath's folks then off to Cambria where we stayed at the Olallieberry bed and breakfast. A wonderful spot where we met many great people. 1 family approached us in the parking lot and just had to have pictures sitting on our motorcycle! The following day we rode the Big Sur coastline and made it to our niece, Denice's place in Santa Cruz.
On day 4 we headed to Eureka and stayed one evening with Mickys first break in officer, Bill Rhodes and his wife Pat . Bill had just come home from fishing in Humboldt Bay with a bucket full of giant fresh salmon! A great dinner . The ride up the redwood highway was spectacular! This morning, Wednesday July 31st, we rode the Oregon coastline. So far the weather has been great and the Fellowship has been wonderful! Today we create, for the first time ever, a "Daley" blog! (Pun intended!) We are becoming so savy at this techy stuff! This year we finally entered the age of the smart phones and who knows what next year will bring for Micky and Kathie. Our son Ryan married his sweetheart Kelly this past Saturday, and we have been blessed with an amazing week of family, friends, food, fun and fellowship! Kelly Daley is a WONDERFUL addition to the Daley family as well as the entire Elkin clan! We thank God for bringing her into Ryan's life. Following the wedding, we finalize our preparations for the "Divine Appointments Ride", 90 days upon our Harley Davidson traveling across this great country of ours, enjoying the blessings of God's people and His beautiful creation. We hope you enjoy sharing our experiences and we ask for your prayers for us to keep our eyes focused on "The One" who placed the stars in the sky! We ask for His hand of protection upon us and that we be open to His leading as we attempt to touch the four corners of the United States of America. Blaine Washington, Madawaska Maine, Key West Florida, and beautiful San Ysidro California! So today, the countdown begins. Saturday, July 27th is our intended day of departure. We have been thinking of and planning for this trip for some time now, but to quote our brother James in 4:15, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." So we submit to His will in our lives and commit this adventure to the glory of His name!
