The Blue Ridge Parkway!

OUR BLOG MALFUNCTIONED FOR THE WASHINGTON DC PORTION OF OUR TRIP.(SIMILIAR TO THE DISFUNCTION OF OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!)

HOPEFULLY WE WILL POST OUR DC BLOG SOON!

We said goodbye to  Washington DC and made our way west to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Unseasonably Hot and Humid!  Not a fun ride until we climbed the Blue Ridge Mountains and entered the Parkway!
Definitely on our top 5 list for beautiful rides!

The weather was perfect, the color was beautiful, and the roadway was recently repaved. (At least the first 20 miles!)

We stopped by a beautiful little lake with a dam and waterfall for a quiet respite!

We are holed up in Bedford Virginia as the region is experiencing the effects of Hurricane Karen.  We have an 80% chance of rain tomorrow!
We hope to get out early and outrun the storm as we motate east towards Myrtle Beach or Savannah Ga!
Blessings to all!
